FounderRoute legal
Terms of Service
These Terms govern FounderRoute accounts, AI features, community participation, subscriptions, user content, and acceptable use.
Last updated August 27, 2026
1. Agreement and operator
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Rachid Elharrak, the individual operator of FounderRoute based in Tangier, Morocco. By creating an account or using FounderRoute, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the policies linked here.
If you use FounderRoute for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. “You” then means both you and that organization. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement.
2. The service
FounderRoute is a self-service SaaS workspace for founders. It organizes startup context, journey stages, evidence, decisions, AI-assisted analysis, planning tools, Startup Memory, and optional founder-community features. Features, model choices, limits, and availability can differ by plan and may change as the service develops.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate information, keep your authentication methods secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by FounderRoute’s breach of these Terms or applicable law.
Accounts are personal unless a team feature expressly permits shared access. Do not sell, transfer, share, or automate access to an account in a way the service does not support.
4. Plans, subscriptions, and AI credits
FounderRoute offers a Free plan and may offer monthly Founder, Founder Pro, and Founder Scale subscriptions. The current price, included features, available AI models, and taxes are shown before checkout. Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled.
Polar acts as merchant of record for paid transactions and manages checkout, payment processing, tax collection, receipts, and payment-related customer records under its own buyer terms. You authorize Polar to charge the payment method shown at checkout for each renewal.
Each plan includes AI usage credits. FounderRoute may show a simple meter, warnings, and the reset date without revealing internal provider costs. When the credits are exhausted, AI generation pauses until the next billing-period reset; existing projects and non-AI workspace data remain accessible. Additional credit packs and automatic overage charges are not offered at launch.
AI models can be added, renamed, replaced, or removed for availability, safety, privacy, quality, or cost reasons. A subscription guarantees access to the plan’s feature class, not permanent access to a specific third-party model.
5. Cancellation, refunds, and price changes
You can cancel through the billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and paid access normally continues through the end of the current billing period. The Refund and Cancellation Policy provides a voluntary seven-day refund window for the first paid subscription payment. Renewals are normally non-refundable, except where law requires otherwise or a billing or service problem justifies a refund.
We will provide at least 30 days’ notice before a price increase affects an existing subscription. The new price applies to a later renewal after the notice period. You can cancel before it takes effect.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant FounderRoute a worldwide, non-exclusive, limited license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and format that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
For public community content, that license includes displaying it to other users and enabling normal community features such as quoting, sharing inside FounderRoute, and linking. FounderRoute will not reuse a testimonial, review, post, or profile in external marketing without separate permission.
You confirm that you have the rights and lawful basis needed to submit content, including information about other people. Do not upload secrets, regulated sensitive data, or material that violates law, confidentiality, privacy, or intellectual-property rights.
7. AI outputs and founder decisions
AI features generate suggestions from the context available to them. Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, biased, or wrong. FounderRoute does not guarantee validation, funding, revenue, product-market fit, regulatory compliance, or any business outcome.
FounderRoute provides educational and operational guidance, not legal, tax, accounting, medical, employment, or investment advice. You remain responsible for verifying outputs, protecting confidential information, consulting qualified professionals, and making final decisions. Do not use FounderRoute as the sole basis for high-impact decisions about a person.
8. Community and private messages
Community participation is optional and governed by the Community Guidelines. Content entered into public community areas can be viewed, copied, or shared by others. Published testimonials remain subject to the author’s visibility choice and separate marketing permission.
Direct-message bodies use client-side encryption, but recipients can still retain or disclose what they receive. Private-key loss, browser changes, or incompatible devices may make encrypted messages unavailable. FounderRoute does not promise recovery of encrypted message content.
9. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, FounderRoute, or the public; comply with law; investigate abuse; prevent fraud; or enforce these Terms. When reasonably possible, we will provide notice and a way to request review.
10. FounderRoute intellectual property
FounderRoute and its software, design, branding, documentation, curated frameworks, and other service materials are owned by the operator or applicable licensors. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your account term. They do not transfer ownership or permit copying, reselling, reverse engineering, or creating a competing service from protected materials except where law expressly allows it.
11. Third-party services
FounderRoute depends on third-party platforms and may link to optional integrations. Their services, terms, and availability are outside FounderRoute’s control. You are responsible for any third-party account you connect and for instructions that cause FounderRoute to import, process, or send data through that service.
12. Availability and changes
FounderRoute is provided without a formal service-level agreement. We use reasonable efforts to keep it available and secure, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, change, discontinue, or limit features. If a material discontinuation affects a prepaid service, we will provide a reasonable remedy where required by law.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FounderRoute is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that outputs or results will meet your expectations. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FounderRoute will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities. FounderRoute’s total liability for claims arising from the service will not exceed the fees you paid for FounderRoute during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including applicable rights concerning fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury, or mandatory consumer protection.
15. Termination and data
You may stop using FounderRoute and request account deletion. We may terminate or suspend access for a material breach, illegal or harmful conduct, non-payment, provider requirements, or a serious security risk. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the issue. Data handling after termination follows the Privacy Policy and any mandatory retention duties.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, each party will try in good faith for 30 days to resolve the dispute through the available support channel. If it is not resolved, the courts of Tangier, Morocco have jurisdiction, except that consumers keep any mandatory right to bring a claim in another court or under another applicable law.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, provider, legal, or security changes. We will update the date above and provide reasonable advance notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date of a notified change means you accept the revised Terms, unless applicable law requires a different form of consent.
