Community Guidelines

FounderRoute’s community is for honest founder learning, useful feedback, and respectful collaboration, not promotion at any cost.

Last updated August 27, 2026

1. Be useful and honest

Share real experience, identify assumptions, distinguish evidence from opinion, and give feedback you would consider fair if directed at you. Do not fabricate traction, credentials, customer quotes, endorsements, reviews, or outcomes.

2. Respect people

No harassment, threats, stalking, hate, discrimination, sexual exploitation, graphic violence, targeted humiliation, or coordinated attacks. Disagreement and direct critique are welcome; abuse is not.

3. Protect privacy and confidentiality

Do not publish personal data, private messages, customer records, private review notes, confidential startup material, or another person’s identity without permission. Remove secrets and identifying details from screenshots and files. Public community content can be copied by others even if you later delete it.

4. No spam or manipulation

Do not flood discussions, send repetitive promotions, use fake accounts, buy engagement, coordinate votes, manipulate mutual reviews, or pressure another founder to publish a favorable testimonial. Relevant product links are allowed when they genuinely help the discussion and your relationship is clear.

5. Mutual reviews and testimonials

Mutual reviews are private until both founders submit independently. Private notes must stay private and must not be quoted. A testimonial can be displayed in FounderRoute only when its author publishes it. External marketing reuse requires separate permission; attribution must remain accurate and the quote must not be materially edited.

6. Direct messages

Use direct messages for consensual founder conversations. Encryption does not excuse harassment, fraud, or illegal conduct. Block unwanted contact. If you report encrypted-message abuse, you may need to voluntarily provide the relevant message, screenshot, or context because FounderRoute cannot decrypt message bodies.

7. Moderation and appeals

FounderRoute may reduce visibility, remove content, restrict community features, suspend an account, or preserve evidence. Urgent safety, legal, fraud, or security risks may require action without advance warning. When reasonably possible, we provide the reason and allow the affected user to request review through in-app support or support@founderroute.app.
