Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Payments through Polar

Polar is FounderRoute’s merchant of record. Polar operates checkout, charges the payment method, calculates and collects applicable taxes, issues receipts, and processes approved refunds. Polar’s checkout terms also apply to the transaction.

2. Seven-day first-payment refund

You may request a refund of your first paid FounderRoute subscription payment within seven calendar days after that payment. This voluntary promise applies once per person or organization and does not automatically apply to renewal payments, later subscriptions, or a plan purchased again after cancellation.

Submit the request through the in-app support channel while signed in to the purchasing account or email billing@founderroute.app from the address associated with the purchase. Include the reason and the Polar order or receipt identifier if available. This policy does not limit refund, withdrawal, or cancellation rights that applicable law gives you.

3. Renewals

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Renewal payments are normally non-refundable because access is made available for the new period. We may approve a refund for a duplicate or incorrect charge, a material service failure, fraud, or another circumstance required by law or reasonably accepted by FounderRoute and Polar.

4. Canceling

You can cancel through Polar’s customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep paid access until then. Canceling does not itself create a refund for the current period.

5. AI limits and plan changes

Reaching the included AI credits does not cancel the subscription or create an automatic refund. AI generation pauses until the credits reset, while existing projects and non-AI workspace data remain accessible. Additional usage packs and automatic overage charges are not offered at launch.

6. Refund processing

Approved refunds are returned through Polar to the original payment method where possible. Bank and card-network timing varies and is outside FounderRoute’s control. Currency-conversion differences, bank charges, and processing delays may be governed by your financial institution and applicable law.
